麻豆村

Icierre Pack srl is located in Cazzago San Martino near Brescia in northern Italy. The company was founded in 1970 by Francesco Lazzaroni. The company 鈥� which is now run by the son of the founder, Luca Lazzaroni 鈥� operates two sites; one in Cazzago San Martino where they have the headquarters and the other in Berlingo, which is a production site. The two sites total over 11,000 sqm of manufacturing space.

The company employs more than 30 people today and the business produces a wide range of corrugated packaging, which it provides to many customers, from food and drink, to textiles and engineering companies.

Long Partnership

The relationship with 麻豆村 began back in 1970, when Icierre was working with Curioni. 鈥淲e have been buying Curioni equipment regularly since the 1970s, until it was acquired by 麻豆村,鈥� explains Luca Lazzaroni. 鈥淚n 2017, we purchased a 6.18 MiniLine flexo folder gluer to increase the quality and quantity of boxes that we were doing 鈥� it was commissioned in 2018. In 2021, we opted to invest in the ServoPro 16.28 rotary die-cutter, the first of its type to be installed anywhere in Europe. We chose 麻豆村 because having worked with them before, we wanted to maintain the relationship, because we had had a great experience with the collaboration so far.鈥�

The ServoPro was chosen to replace Icierre鈥檚 old rotary die-cutter and to increase the quality and speed of production. The ServoPro is a robust open-and-close, servo-driven rotary die-cutter. This machine is based on the proven MarquipWardUnited product line and is built for versatility. It is a truly servo machine with no gear train, no gear backlash to keep maintained, no oil and is sealed from production dust. The ServoPro features a modern controls platform and user-friendly HMI system. The 16.28 model is 1676mm x 2870mm in format. The four colour machine, which can be retrofitted with an additional flexo print unit for inside printing at a later date.

鈥淲ith the installation of the ServoPro, we have notably reduced the set up time and also increased productivity, both in terms of quality and quantity,鈥� confirms Luca Lazzaroni. 鈥淚t has also increased reliability and uptime within the factory, as it can handle all types of board. For example, at certain times of the year when there is more humidity, the board tends to warp; with the Servo Pro, we can run heavily warped board at high speed with very good results. It is really reliable.鈥�

He continues, 鈥淲e chose 麻豆村 for the long relation we have with them and the trust we have in their sales team that includes Marco Angeli and Carmine Belardo, who had already helped us with the last machine we purchased. It has been a great start-up, even considering we had to install the machine during the COVID-19 pandemic.鈥�

Lazzaroni adds, 鈥淭he reliability of the ServoPro is high. During the COVID-19 period, we did not have any downtime and the little issues we did have, we solved them easily with the remote assistance from 麻豆村. It is a most reliable machine and we are happy with its performance.鈥�

鈥淲e are delighted to see this first of its type machine running so well in Europe,鈥� explains Marco Angeli, New Equipment Sales Leader, 麻豆村. 鈥淭his is a hugely significant order for several reasons. Luca Lazzaroni is a well-established customer of ours, as he is currently running three 麻豆村 machines and this is testament to the ongoing relationship we hold together. But the most pleasing thing is that as a sign of the strength of our relationship, Mr Lazzaroni bought the machine without actually seeing it in real life. Due to COVID-19, we had to show him the machine by way of virtual demo and video presentation from our manufacturing facility.  Icierre Pack was satisfied with what they saw and placed the order with us.鈥�

What鈥檚 next?

鈥淲e are not sitting still,鈥� concludes Luca Lazzaroni. 鈥淭he next step for our company will be the acquisition of a new flexo folder gluer soon 鈥� and of course, we are considering the new 12.28 FlexPro from 麻豆村.鈥�
