TIP CUT-0411 Main Drive Gear Box Replacement & Servo Drive Upgrade

Folio-size sheeter type SHM 1400 SRDescription of Improvement
This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP), and replaces the existing main drive gearbox with an AC Servo Drive. In addition, the main DC drive and motor will be replaced with an AC servo version.
This upgrade includes a new PLC and motion controller to control the profile of the cross cutter and other knife and draw drum functions. The newly supplied touchscreen will allow the operator to enter sheet length, speed, and other production related information.
This improvement will include automatic sheet length and squaring, if manual was originally equipped. If the machine is equipped with auto sheet length and squaring, the control unit can be eliminated along with the external encoder and control interface.
